Nurturing independence amongst youths with minimal access to light
Inspired by the light that illuminates the night sky, Capella Hanoi shines a spotlight on Vietnam’s underdeveloped regions.
Thousands of youths are born into poverty in across Vietnam, with odds stacked against them. Unfortunately, some children live in darkness and have minimal access to light when the sun sets. Acknowledging this, Capella Hanoi, in partnership with Solar Buddy, crossed thousands of kilometers to bring hope to the northwest mountains of Vietnam – Muong Lat, Thanh Hoa – to transform the lives of these youths through the gift of clean, sustainable solar-powered light. These lights will be able to provide the kids with a productive study environment after dusk. This long-term involvement allows us to be a continual presence in the lives of youth, providing them with a sense of stability and comfort.
