Best experience ever on every level…
This property ran a double page ad in San Diego in March and the photo alone compelled me to book a room. The room rates were very expensive, even for Cabo, so I had very high expectations. Having had worked in hotels for 14 years and also having stayed in some amazing, luxury properties - this hotel trumps them all!
Although it was a convenient walking distance to the marina area with shopping and restaurants, we never wanted to leave the property. Every hotel restaurant was superb....
They have staff members who we nicknamed "The Guest Nanny" - who is guy with a headset that watches over any guests who disregard the no swim advisory because of where the waves break and the "The Bird Shoo-er", who stands near the pool to shoo away pesky sea gulls (which aren't all that bothersome).
The pool bar, which allows you to sit on an underwater stool, was my favorite part of the resort. The rooms were exquisite and spacious and each had their own little pool. We didn't use ours but it was nice to have. Every afternoon they showed up with Coronas and salsa and also had a Don Julio for us in the entry way foyer which we enjoy a sip from on our way out each night.
The seafood restaurant on cliff was to die for and worth every cent.
We saw the General Manager several times and he was always gracious and welcoming.
The entry to the property is just stunning and the spa services were the best I have ever experienced.
I cannot wait to go again......it was an expensive trip for sure, but where there is a lot of value for my dollar, I would happily spend it again!
